Sharing Stories & Blogging Again

I’ve blogged on and off now for over 15 years, so this is not the first time I’ve returned to blogging. In some ways, it feels like I have more clarity about the why this time after my longest break in blogging yet. So much has changed over the past few years, but I still love documenting my stories.

There’s been a lot of change since I last blogged. I’ve gained a niece and lost both my mom and mother-in-law. I changed jobs and had just moved into the home we know live in. I’ve had several surgeries, lost more organs, and added a few health diagnosis including a chronic illness. We made it through several years working at home. I’ve aged and so has my husband- and our relationship has grown. I quit scrapbooking (at least for now) and am learning to manage my energy levels. But I miss telling stories with words and photos.

Telling my story help me appreciate my story. To slow down during unfolding moments I want to remember.

There’s just so many stories to tell and catch up on. And, I know there will be new stories to tell.

So, here I am starting my blog afresh. I’ll share when I can and we’ll see where this goes.

Something’s never change though. . .

Including His Reactions

When I was going through these recent self-portraits we took in Oklahoma, I came across this image of my husband behind my back and was instantly reminded of this oldie but goodie from the time I was trying to get self-portraits with a game camera.

And yes, he’s still a nut. But I do love him so.

PS I hope you will bear with me as I get my footing here on the blog. I’m not sure how often I will blog.
